This may be the toughest course task ever offered, but you can create an incredible personal portfolio site—if you will try to figure out things for yourself. You will be watching tutorials on how to use DIVI and WordPress. You will want to reach out to your fellow classmates on GroupMe to share tips on how to accomplish your collective design objectives.
Please don’t use up all your favors with me asking simple questions that can be answered on Elegant Themes or through a quick Google search. Use me for the hard stuff. I’m not your mother, and I will not coddle you through every step of your site development. This is college. It’s supposed to be hard, or everyone would have a college degree, right?
My best advice is to touch your website every day. By about week 4, this should feel less like a foreign language and more like something you can actually do for a living. Seriously. The learning curve is sort of steep in the beginning, and for that, I apologize. But web designers all start out confused and overwhelmed. You’ll get it; give it time.
