1. Don't accept an assignment you can't fulfill.
2. Don't put off calling a source or doing research for an assignment.
3. If you're running late with a story or pic, call us, so we can make alternative arrangements.
4. If you can't get in touch with your source, let us know. If you don't understand your assignment at any time, call us and confirm the assignment.
5. Proofread your article before submitting it to the editor. Proofreading only takes an extra minute or two, but it saves us a lot of time in layout. Remember this means spell-check too.
6. If you've got a good idea for a story, pic, cartoon, editorial, etc... Speak up!
